Celebrating the Spirit of Community Giving at EveryMind’s Annual Donor Appreciation Event

On Oct 6, EveryMind hosted our annual Donor Appreciation Event to celebrate and commemorate our donors for their generous support over the year.

As she welcomed attendees, Chief Executive Officer Ceri Harnden mentioned how wonderful it was to be able to meet and mingle in person and how our donors had especially stepped up over the last year, when times had been particularly difficult and the need for mental health services and support had skyrocketed.

Board President Nainesh Kotak remarked on how crucial the support of our donors is, some of whom have been our partners for many, many years. The Toronto Star Fresh Air Fund, for example, has been bolstering our Summer Camp program for nearly 25 years. The confidence that our donors have in our work and their commitment to our cause allows us to create sustainable programming for those most in need.

One of our young clients and her mother spoke movingly about the life-changing impact of our services on their lives, detailing steady progress that has been made in tackling debilitating issues with OCD and anxiety with the help of our dedicated staff over an extended period of time.

Alectra Utilities, Augsburg Lutheran Church, Community Foundation of Mississauga, King Masonry Yard,  Mississauga Fire Fighters Benevolent Fund, St. Gregorios Orthodox Church of Toronto, St. Mathews Mar Thoma Church and RBC Foundation were among the donors present and felicitated by EveryMind’s board and senior leadership team.

Presenting a cheque, with the proceeds of a recent golf tournament, Bryan Doucette of Mississauga Fire Fighters Benevolent Fund spoke of how his personal association with EveryMind has changed him as a person and as a father.

At EveryMind, we are committed to providing exceptional mental health services, support and hope to infants, children, youth, young adults and their caregivers in Peel. Our donors are a critical part of our Vision of caring communities working together for children, youth and families. EveryMind is grateful to all our donors who work with us to make this vision a viable one.
