On Bell Let’s Talk Day, Let’s Keep Talking, Let’s Keep Listening
Today is Bell Let’s Talk Day, when Canadians open up and talk to each other about mental health, and now more than ever, we need to keep talking and keep listening.
The pandemic continues to be a very challenging time for many children, youth, young adults and families in our community, and it is more important than ever before that they know where to turn for help when they need it.
In Peel Region, young people and families can access free and confidential mental health services by visiting WhereToStart.ca or calling 905-451-4655.
Tangerine Walk-In Counselling is offering 45-minute phone and video sessions Monday through Friday. Visit TangerineWalkIn.com or call 905-795-3530 to request an appointment.
In times of crisis, when immediate support is needed, our 24/7 crisis response services are there to help. Call 905-278-9036 any time of the day or night.
All of these services are free and confidential for residents of Peel, and support from Bell Let’s Talk helps make them possible.
Join the Conversation Today
Bell is inviting everyone to take part in the mental health conversation. You can use a wide range of communications platforms to join in on Bell Let’s Talk Day – and directly drive Bell’s donations to Canadian mental health programs simply by participating.
Today, Bell donates 5 cents to Canadian mental health programmes for every applicable text, local or long distance call, tweet or TikTok video using #BellLetsTalk, every Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter and YouTube view of the Bell Let’s Talk Day video, and every use of the Bell Let’s Talk Facebook frame or Snapchat lens. All at no cost to participants beyond what they would normally pay their service provider for online or phone access.
EveryMind is grateful to Bell Let’s Talk for supporting us through the years, by donating over $113,000 to various programmes and services such as our 2020 Community Standing Together Campaign and $20,000 in support of counselling and therapy for young adults in 2021.
EveryMind needs your help today. Help us make sure no one struggles alone.
