Our Commitment to Anti-Black Racism

The recent events in the United States and Toronto have left us all shocked and devastated. Regardless of our background, beliefs, race or ethnicity, we are all struggling to understand and process the pain and anguish that we are witnessing on our television screens, in our newspapers and on social media.

Our staff and the children, youth and families we serve are experiencing feelings of helplessness, anger, grief and frustration. EveryMind acknowledges and validates the depth of these feelings, and we remain wholeheartedly committed to acknowledging, addressing and responding to anti-black racism.

Racism has no place in our organization, our community or our world, and we will continue to do our part to build a caring community that is safe for everyone and in which all people can live and thrive.
