Thanking our Supporters at EveryMind’s Annual Donor Appreciation Event

On Oct 5, EveryMind hosted our annual Donor Appreciation Event to formally thank and recognize donors, sponsors and partners, and to share with them the direct and positive impact their contributions have on children, youth and families in Peel.

In his welcome, Board President Nainesh Kotak remarked on how many of the donors had been long-standing supporters of our mission of inspiring hope by leading in the delivery of high-quality mental health services. RBC Royal Bank of Canada made their first donation in 2003 and have contributed $565,000 to date, much of which has supported our Intake & Access team at wheretostart.ca.

Chief Executive Officer Ceri Harnden acknowledged all the board members and staff members present and mentioned how grateful they were for the confidence the donors continue to show in the work we do.

One of our young clients took to the podium to courageously recount her struggles and how EveryMind’s services have been able to help and support her through the years.

Rotary Club Meadowvale, Holman, Community Foundation of Mississauga, King Masonry Yard, and Mississauga Fire Fighters Benevolent Fund were among the donors present and felicitated by EveryMind’s board and senior leadership team.

Presenting a cheque for $20,000 in support of youth mental health care, Cristina Radu of TD Bank Group spoke of how supporting our vision of creating caring communities working together for children, youth and families was in line with the bank’s global, corporate citizenship strategy i.e., the TD Ready Commitment, specifically with its focus on connected communities and better health.

At EveryMind, the essence of everything we do is hope and a belief that positively impacting the lives of infants, children, youth, young adults, and families will make our communities healthier and happier for everyone. We are grateful to all our donors who work with us to achieve this goal and purpose.
