EveryMind Celebrates the Power of Community at Annual Donor Appreciation Event

On October 6, donors, community partners, board members, staff, and supporters came together at EveryMind’s Annual Donor Appreciation Event to celebrate the collective impact of our shared commitment to supporting children, youth, young adults, and families in Peel through high-quality mental health care.

The evening was not only an opportunity to recognize generosity. It was a chance to reflect on the lives that have been changed through donor support and to celebrate the partnerships that continue to strengthen mental health services across Peel Region.

In her first Donor Appreciation Event as Board President, Cara Cross welcomed guests and spoke about the importance of coming together around a common purpose: ensuring that children, youth, young adults, and families can access the care and support they need when they need it most.

The event shone a spotlight on the many organizations, foundations, businesses, and individual supporters whose generosity helps EveryMind respond to the growing need for mental health services in our community. Donors and partners recognized during the evening included CTDI, Primerica Life Insurance Company of Canada, and the Rotary Club of Mississauga Meadowvale, among others.

Throughout the evening, guests heard powerful reminders of why this work matters. Two EveryMind clients, Rosemary and Shamika, courageously shared their personal journeys and reflected on the role that compassionate mental health support played in their lives. Their stories highlighted the resilience of the young people and families we serve and underscored the lasting impact made possible through donor generosity.

Several significant contributions were celebrated during the evening, including $50,000 gifts from RBC Foundation and Peel Police Foundation, a $25,000 contribution from TD Bank Group, and a $10,000 donation from Crown Jewels for Mental Health. Guests also learned that the Mississauga Fire Fighters Association has selected EveryMind as the charity of choice for its 2027 golf tournament, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to supporting youth mental health in our community.

A particularly meaningful moment of the evening was the recognition of Ken Foxcroft, whose dedication to EveryMind spans more than 25 years. As a former board member, volunteer, advocate, and donor, Ken has played an important role in advancing youth mental health in our community. His enduring commitment serves as an inspiring example of the difference one person can make through sustained generosity and leadership.

As the evening came to a close, one message resonated above all others: meaningful change happens when communities come together. EveryMind is deeply grateful to the donors, sponsors, foundations, community organizations, and individual supporters who continue to invest in the well-being of children, youth, young adults, and families across Peel.

Together, we are advancing our mission of being a trusted partner positively impacting the lives of children, youth, young adults, and families through high-quality mental health care, while working toward our vision of ensuring children and youth in Peel are healthy and thriving. Your partnership is creating lasting impact today and building a stronger future for generations to come.
