EveryMind’s Annual Donor Appreciation Event Highlights Our Supporters
On Oct 10, EveryMind hosted our annual Donor Appreciation Event to formally thank and recognize donors, sponsors and partners, and to share with them the direct and positive impact their contributions have on children, youth and families in Peel.
Board President Nainesh Kotak opened the evening’s festivities by welcoming the donors, EveryMind board members, our senior leadership and staff members.
Chief Executive Officer Ceri Harnden acknowledged all the donors present, commenting on how their long-standing support and confidence in our work has been even more meaningful in the years since the pandemic.
Mississauga Central Lions Club, Doane Grant Thornton LLP and Mississauga Fire Fighters Benevolent Fund were among the donors present and felicitated by EveryMind’s board and senior leadership team.
Presenting a cheque for $60,000 in support of access and intake to mental health supports in Peel, Sylvia Coughlan of RBC spoke of RBC Future Launch and how through this initiative, the RBC Youth Mental Well-being Project is a commitment to support programs that help youth and families access the right care at the right time.
Bell Canada and TD Bank also presented cheques for $15,000 and $25,000, respectively, which will support counselling and therapy services offered to youth and young adults.
One of our clients, who is a caregiver of a toddler, took to the podium to detail the many ways in which she has used our infant and toddler services such as Peel Infant-Parent Program, Peel Inclusion Resource Services and Child Development Supports to build a connection with her child and better her maternal mental health.
At EveryMind, we work with children, youth, young adults and their families at their most vulnerable. Our work not only positively impacts young lives but transforms them. We are grateful to all our donors, who work with us to sustain our programmes and therefore, support our communities.
